Building Your SAHM Uniform: The Weekender, Pt. III

Today’s post is the final installment in the SAHM Uniform series for moms with a weekender-style wardrobe. Part one focused on the gals who live in their leggings and like to stay closer to home. Part two was geared more toward the ladies who are on the go. This week I’m talking about the girls who like to keep it a little dressier! Let’s jump right in!

Your Basic Pieces
-A relaxed dress
-A slouchy cardigan
-Ankle boots

Your Everyday Uniform
-Your staple handbag
-Some minimal jewelry

SAHM Uniform (Weekender) #7

This uniform is for the moms who love to dress up on any given day. I chose a jersey dress for my basic here, but you could easily use a shirt dress or another casual style in its place. Depending on the weather you could replace the ankle boots with sandals or riding boots. I chose to keep the accessories to a minimum, but you could pile them on if that’s your taste! Finally, I chose a classic handbag for this ensemble, but a backpack or a cross body bag would be a great alternative for keeping your hands free.

Dressing It Down
To dress this look down you can swap the cardigan for a denim jacket or a leather jacket. I also kept the accessories minimal and opted for flats. Again, all of this can be remixed to suit the season.

Dressing It Up
To dress this look up simply remove the outer layer and wear the dress alone. You can keep the flats if you prefer or pair the dress with simple heels as I’ve done here. Finally, add a sleek clutch and some dangly earrings and you are set!

Cute! Love the basic concept of taking a simple dress and making it your own style. Someone else could wear the exact same dress and it would look totally different depending on what they choose to wear with it. Great for all seasons too. Thanks for your posts. Always love reading them.
